Abstract:

    Courtyard surrounded by buildings is an important vocabulary of traditional Chinese architecture.
    The R & D building mainly carries office, scientific research and experiment functions, and the building plane is in the shape of "mouth". A courtyard for people to watch and rest becomes the center of the building, and the functional layout of the R & D building is around the central courtyard. The facade of the R & D building defines the outline of the courtyard, and brings the courtyard landscape into the interior through different forms of windows.

    The reception center mainly carries the functions of meeting, reception and catering. The functional units of the building are arranged in a row from east to west, connected by the belt shaped corridor behind the wooden grille, and interspersed with three two-story air courtyards. Large, medium and small courtyards are important spaces to experience nature. The design of interior space emphasizes its diversity, which comes from the difference of use function, and the organic connection between each unit makes them a whole.

    The South foyer of the R & D building is a two-story high space. Light plays a leading role in shaping the space. Three glass cylinders with a diameter of 1.5 meters above the foyer directly lead the sky light at the top to the foyer. The 6-meter-long daylighting ground window on the south side of the hall indirectly introduces light, adding a solemn and elegant space atmosphere to the hall. The rest platform on the water adds a relaxed atmosphere to the communication, where the light and landscape from the south come into view.

    The north side of R & D building is mainly for intensive office and scientific research. Skylight along the aisle directly into the first floor, combined with indoor greening, makes the indoor environment full of vitality. A variety of functional space, to adapt to different office research needs, interspersed with the indoor public space, to create a rich space experience. The design of landscape environment shaping uses white wall as the surface material to highlight the building shape, which is also conducive to the guidance and organization of light. The double facade of the R & D building forms a light architectural appearance. The wooden grid facade waiting for the center is used to express the transparent characteristics of architecture in southern China.

    The South and west sides of the R & D building form a continuous landscape pool, forming a multi-level north-south spatial sequence of waterscape, courtyard, greening and architecture. The ground floor of the East and west sides of the building is overhead, forming the East and west landscape corridor. The design of the reception center focuses on the formation of infiltration between the outdoor garden landscape, gray space and the landscape of the public area of the indoor space. Through a large number of borrowing and facing scenes, it shows the psychic of the southern architecture and realizes an open communication atmosphere. In the layout of eco technology strategy R & D building, the main office space is arranged in the South and north of the building, and the auxiliary rooms such as toilet, machine room and storage room are arranged in the East and west of the building, which become the thick buffer space for East-West contact with the outside world.

    The south side colonnade of the building forms the South shading, which can avoid direct sunlight in summer and introduce sunlight into the interior in winter. On the other hand, the inclined column with large depth on the west side has the function of shading on the west side. In the functional layout of the reception center, the corridor and the wooden grid facade become the buffer interface in the south direction. On the premise of ensuring natural ventilation, it also becomes the shading system in the south direction of the building.

    Skylights and open courtyards actively introduce light into the interior of buildings, which has become a way to save lighting energy. The corridor and patio in high and narrow space are used to improve the thermal pressure ventilation. The openable floor window and skylight also provide convenience for manual adjustment of indoor ventilation. Post earthquake situation in 2008, "512 Wenchuan earthquake", the park was transformed into a love home for temporary resettlement of the affected people, and the central square became a temporary place for medical rescue of the affected people. As an emergency shelter in Deyang City, the building and its square highlight the important strategic role of open space of various office parks in urban disaster prevention projects.
